After a week of busy and hectic work, here comes Friday night which everyone has been longing for. It is a time when people usually relax and hang out with friends. However, there is very little traffic and with only few people in the street tonight as tropical storm signal no. 3 has been hoisted and there is heavy downpour.
I sit by the window, watching the raindrops sliding down the window glass-panes and hearing the strong wind blowing against them - the 'music' composed by the typhoon - Doksuri (杜蘇芮).
The name 'Doksuri' sounds unfamiliar and so I am curious to find out its origin and meaning. I then surf the Internet to look up the information.
Do you know what Doksuir means? It means a bird of prey, that is, a fierce bird which kills other birds or living things for food. If you are interested in getting to know about the meanings of other names for tropical storms, please go to the website for 'MEANING OF TROPICAL CYCLONE NAMES'.

Now that the rain has stopped and it is late at night. Time for bed. Good night!
Hope the tropical storm has landed tomorrow morning when I wake up.
